The IdeaPads netbooks were launched in 2008 by Lenovo, the world’s fourth largest PC vendor.  The IdeaPads are customer focused laptops. Designed for both home and home offices, the IdeaPad netbooks are light weight, have high definition entertainment and a touch screen facility.

The core technology incorporated in the IdeaPad laptops vary according to the model series. In total, over 30 models of IdeaPads, organised in five series – Series S, Series Y, Series U, Series V and series Z -, were launched on the laptop market since 2008; the latest models include the IdeaPad Z360, Z560, Z565, U160, U460 and U460s.

The range of integrated technologies on this range of Lenovo netbooks includes Windows 7, Intel processor technology, active protection systems, integrated fingerprint reader, Lenovo One Key rescue system, Dolby Home Theatre, premium JBL stereo speakers, premium graphic card and multitouch panel.
